-----Overall personality: Overall, Katherine is a very sweethearted and kind person. She doesn't push her pureblooded status out in the open, and neither does she judge others by appearance, blood status or house. Katherine loves to make friends, and is loyal to those who she fully trusts and treasures. She's a very social person and often speaks or hangs around students or other people who feel left out; and she makes it a ritual to say hello to the Hogwarts' ghosts, including Moaning Myrtle, as much as she can.
Katherine is also very reserved and quiet when it comes to talking about her problems, because she hates being a burden on others. Although she may seem like an angel to her friends, she won't hesitate to punish to people who hurt her family and friends; but in a just way. She doesn't like taking sides when it comes to the little things, like fights between friends or family members, but supports the Order of Phoenix over the Death Eaters completely. Lastly, Katherine is a very loyal and trustworthy person herself. She sticks to the people she loves and forgives them no matter what they do.

-----history: Katherine-Marie Antoinette Baker is the daughter of Marcus and Melanie Baker. Known as a complete 'miracle' child to her parents, Katherine was conceived even though her parents were told that they wouldn't be able to. Unknown to almost everybody, Katherine's real father is not Marcus, yet an unnamed man who is dead. At the age of two, her parents adopted Maddie and the pair quickly became close with each other. A few years later and Justin and Zac, two twin boys, were adopted as well, and became her protective older brothers.
Things took an unexpected and tragic turn after her father lost his job. He drowned himself in alcohol and resorted to beating his children, while warning them to keep it all a secret from their mother. For her older siblings, who had Hogwarts as an escape, Katherine was absolutely terrified of her father. However, after she turned eleven, she entered Hogwarts and was finally free from her psychotic father for most of the year. She views Maddie, Justin and Zac with much respect and love and couldn't imagine her life without them.

Twirling a strand of her hair between her fingers, Katherine's vision of the classroom in front of her was only subconsciously there. As professor Flitwick rattled on and on about the properties of a certain charm and how it could help you out of a situation with a crowd of green pixies, she let out a sigh and swerved her vision towards the tall windows on the side of the castle. Just beyond the greenhouses was a vast amount of green space and rocky paths before it reached the Quidditch stadiums where she could already pinpoint each member of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team practicing for their upcoming game against Slytherin. Katherine perched the edge of her chin on the palm of her hand, while her elbow rested on the wooden desk in front of her. She narrowed her eyes to try and see the Hufflepuff team's plays better and completely blocked out the squeaky voice of her Charms professor. She'd just get help from Maddison later on or someone else from the classroom. Besides, Charms wasn't her strong point. Quidditch was, and right now with the perfect view of the stadium, was the best time to think about Quidditch.
Katherine was jerked out of her thoughts as chairs around her were pushed backwards and students began making their way out of the classroom. She grinned, stuffed her books into her bag and high tailed it out of the classroom quicker than anyone else could. Her footsteps lead her down the crowded hall, through Nearly Headless Nick and down the various flights of steps until she reached the doors to the Great Hall. However, instead of walking through the doors and joining her friends for lunch, she turned towards the right door and walked outside in the cold winter air. Katherine thought now would be a great time to ask the Hufflepuff Team Captain if his team needed help getting ready to fight Slytherin.
